It's a strange fact that while Muir aged the twins up so he could draw them like this, aside from that he's had a hard time dealing with their new age. Especially because it's done... well, this to their relationship with Zed.
Yep. And the word “π΅π©πͺπ΄” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. You could describe that relationship with any number of uncomfortable adjectives.
ReplyDeleteIt’s funny how horseshoe theory applies here. On one end is a father who is an incestuous predator, and on the other end is a father endlessly paranoid about, and preoccupied with, the life and times of his daughters’ genitalia.
Both are very, very creepy.
And of course, your regular friendly reminder that WE are the perverts. As this recent storyline clearly demonstrates.

DeleteYep. That's the arsenic icing on the toxic cake--Muir writes this awful stuff from the pose of a morally upright citizen, which just makes it worse. We've got the depravity of a Robert Crumb comic, minus the artistry, the self-awareness, and hell, even unapologetic look at the artist's id. And so we get this weird, jokey hornyness where pretend-Muir clearly wants to screw his pretend-daughters, while the strip tries to pretend, no, no, just an ordinary protective dad.
