A day by day look at Chris Muir's Day By Day, punctuated by efforts to make the hurting stop.
It's funny----there's an inherent cynicism in pretty much any use of T&A in media, since after all its an appeal to the part of the brain that's pure instinct, and thus the most impulsive and compulsive. And tickling those impulses is good for biznizz. But Muir's use of T&A manages to be cynical in a far deeper and profoundly more egregious way. Somehow, even trashy softcore '80s teen comedies seem more innocent and goodhearted than modern DBD. (Uh, not that I'd be able to compare firsthand, of course. My friend told me. Yeah. That's the ticket...)
