Revealing Gibberish.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Dom DeLuise.

The fascinating thing is even though that entire speech was close to word salad, it did prove quite illuminating at showing, well, all of Muir's issues in one strip.

  1. Including the fact that he keeps writing some of the most unrealistic teenage conversations ever. Even a girl raised in a right-wing conservative home wouldn't be spouting this during a love tryst at a lake.

  2. I was just thinking that --- he can't write kids OR teens to save his life. When they were prepubescents, he wrote them like shallow imitations of 1930s comic strip kids. When they were teens, he...STILL often wrote them as shallow imitations of 1930s comic strip kids. It got downright uncomfortable when they were stated to be about seventeen and yet they were both acting and being treated like they were nine.

Now that they're officially active sexpots, he finally seems to have dropped the juvenile stuff (maybe?), but it's been replaced with...whatever the heck this is that you were trying to describe above.

Also it is mindblowing that Jack is not INTENTIONALLY supposed to look like a mishappen and mentally challenged ogre.

  3. At times like this, they're just spouting the usual drivel and are thus just another version of Muir in a mask. But every now and then, he tries to make them teen girls, and... yeah, it gets bad.
