...He Says This With No Realization Of The Irony.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because you're back at Terrapin Station for good or ill.

He's not only comparing immigration to the Holocaust, he's doing so while creating a conspiracy of evil Jews behind it. And while viewing himself as being persecuted by Nazis.

...

I'm trying to decide if this is a new low in his antisemitism and anti-immigration racism. I'm leaning towards 'yes', but he's hit so many lows in them before it's getting hard to track.

  1. Is it possible to get much lower? Feels like we've been scraping the bottom of the barrel for a while now.

I also note that Mia has lost much of the wide-eyed immigrant vibe that made her at least slightly distinct. She now sounds exactly like the rest of the bitchy women in the strip--which I suppose makes sense, since it's Muir speaking through all of them.

    1. The Hivemind devours all core cast members eventually.

  2. It's amazing how the panel-one pronouncements just keep getting more and more brazenly, fever-dream batshit. He really will, quite literally, believe ANYTHING.

Also, have you noticed the women characters have been getting more and more grotesque these past few weeks? He's increasingly been discarding the stock faces/poses that actually look okay in favor of ones that just look weird or gross or distorted. And some of the ones he's been using lately look downright anorexic.

    1. Every few years, he changes the stock poses up, often starting gradually. As he's only declining as an artist, and frequently tracing over previous tracings, they get worse every time.

    2. I do feel that the howler monkey content has increased. Also, lots of butts peeking out of low-rider jeans.

    3. Which are...supposedly starting to make a comeback in real life?...

Not that such a development is relevant to the choices made here either way.
