      If Muir were just starting this thing now, instead of 22 years ago, I wonder if he'd even have introduced Sam as an engineer at all.

      My guess is no. When he does bring up the engineer side of Sam these days, it feels very awkward and forced--like he still has to do it for some sense of continuity, but it completely contradicts what his perspective on women is.

    (By the way, not to harp on it, but I still cannot get that comment from the other day to go through. I even tried it on THIS post just to see if that would work. Nope. Are there certain trigger words that have been set up that prevent a comment from sticking? That's the only thing I can think of.)

      It's not anything I'm doing, and thus is something out of my power. Looking back, while I deleted a few drive-by shit postings in the past, others I left up for context have also gone, so I'm guessing our cyberlords are behind this.

      That's really weird. Because it's not preventing me from commenting at ALL, it just doesn't like that particular assortment of words for whatever reason. (Whatever the "it" is that I'm even talking about.)
