The fascinating thing is how incoherent Muir's politics have become under all the sound and fury. It's about shouting the eternal war of True Muricans to reclaim their nation and regain their glory until the crack of doom. One of the big changes in Muir over the Obama years was he lost pretty much any actionable goals. Everything became about sniffing out imaginary conspiracies and preaching the inevitable glorious restoration, even when the Republicans won elections.
Hey. Just wondering --- I keep trying to comment on this particular post and for some reason it never works. Do you know what that would be?

DeleteNope. I've had similar things happen to me. Your best bet is to just keep trying to get the comment through.
DeleteHm. Tried it dozens of times and it just won't work. Are there certain trigger words set up that will prevent a comment from sticking? (i.e. "Nazi", or "BDSM"?) I can't think why else it won't work.

I suppose much of it would overlap with what's in the (abjectly horrifying) Project 2025 manifesto. But I'm just guessing because you sure don't hear it from their own mouths very much. Everything is all breathless hysterics about the evulllllllz, without much discussion of what the opposite of the evullllllz actually is.
Gary Johnson's comment kind of just lays a lot of the crazy right out on the table. The breadth and scale of these people's persecution complex really is fascinating to behold. They absolutely cannot tolerate being asked to participate in any kind of collective action for the sake of public health or public welfare. Just the THOUGHT of doing so makes them go completely berserk.
And from Dread, there's "Joe Xiden" again. As has come up here a few times, it is utterly baffling that they've arrived at this "Biden is a stooge of the CCP" narrative pretty much out of whole cloth. I have no idea what it's even based on, apart from some of Hunter's business dealings. In the real world, Biden has actually been criticized in some quarters for being too HAWKISH on China. (I have no opinion either way---haven't paid enough attention to that.)
And here comes Hotrod Lincoln with the 56,783,462nd bloodthirsty wish to hang tens of thousands of politicians, judges and bureaucrats from all the lamposts in D.C.
(Are Muir's readers actually all BDSMers into hanging/choking? You tell me a better reason for why they're THIS fixated on this mental image. They don't even fantasize about getting out their precious war weapons, lining up all the traitors against a wall and mowing them down, Nazi-style. It's always the ropes and the lamposts. What the fuck?)
