It isn't even that generic. What specifically got me about that statement was the implication that black Americans are all up in arms about the slaves not having counted as full people, but the silly gooses are getting all riled up over the wrong thing, because aforementioned silly gooses don't seem to understand that slaves had no rights at all, so the concern over the "3/5" thing is misplaced.
