All Are Traitory Traitors Except Muir And Those Like Muir.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because strawberry.

So he's doing a 'yer da real racists' and a 'yer tryin' to replace da Real Muricans!' simultaneously. And he doesn't see the inherent contradiction here. Hell, he keeps insisting the Confederacy was great, except when he pulls something like this.

  1. Muir didn't even get the fraction right, the fucking idiot.

Drew458 is the latest commenter to fry all my mental circuits.

"Regarding the 3/5 compromise (or 1/3 if you’re Muir). Black people have been offended by this for generations, but in a benighted way. Why weren’t they counted as full people? Yet they fail to grasp that those 3/5 folks had no rights or representation whatsoever. They were no different than livestock. The plight of slaves would have been better had they been completely ignored in the countings. The New England states didn’t get extra Congressmen because they had lots of cows. This was a power play by the slave holding agrarian states, or else they wouldn’t play. Seems like proto leftists to me, a hissy fit by the early elites."

    They "fail to grasp"??
    Fail. TO GRASP?!
I was actually taken aback to read that.

This person has never, ever spoken about this topic with an American of African descent in his entire life, has never READ anything on the topic written by an American of African descent in his entire life, and has never HEARD anything about the topic spoken by an American of African descent in his entire life.

It is mindboggling that a person could actually type such a sentence in perfect blithe ignorance. I mean holy shit.

Meanwhile, the level of open dehumanization just keeps rising higher and higher.
JTC: "......the absurdity of the blue tail of the sewer cities full of vermin wagging the dog of the red states.

That word. "Vermin". It's really becoming quite popular among their kind, isn't it.

    1. I actually (to my shame) missed him getting the wrong fraction. To be fair, something about it was setting off my 'wrong' alarm bells, but my 'wrongbad' alarm bells were ringing louder.

And yes, the constant insistence that you, as a white conservative grok racism better than blacks is...

Well, not going to stop anytime soon.

    2. It isn't even that generic. What specifically got me about that statement was the implication that black Americans are all up in arms about the slaves not having counted as full people, but the silly gooses are getting all riled up over the wrong thing, because aforementioned silly gooses don't seem to understand that slaves had no rights at all, so the concern over the "3/5" thing is misplaced.
If this dipwad didn't ACTUALLY mean to state that modern black Americans are unaware that slaves had zero rights, that sure as hell LOOKS like what he said. How else can you read that?

    3. Astonishingly enough, I've seen the argument before. Because racist white guys who think they're smart all tend to converge on ideas.

    4. You mean this is an actual thing??
"Oh, those sillies. Don't they know that slavery meant you had absolutely no civil or political rights?"

Then...what on God's forsaken earth do they think IS the objection to slavery?? Just the "3/5" thing and nothing else?

I don't know if I'm taking your description too literally or not. If I am, sorry 'bout that.

    5. The very same argument, and the point is just insisting black people and/or liberals have it wrong.
