Mia Isn't Appreciating Her Designated Male Member Of The Cast Enough.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because the Crystal Gryphon.

Once again--the only way to be a good woman is to be a misogynistic fascist bitch.

  1. I have no idea what's being insinuated here. I don't know what Daddy Warbucks is supposed to represent in this scenario, nor do I get what the OPPOSITE of Warbucks is meant to be.

The Oliver Warbucks of Harold Gray's Little Orphan Annie was an avatar of conservative politics, as Gray fiercely hated FDR and the New Deal. I cannot say if Muir is aware of that or not, because---again---I do not know what either Warbucks or his opposite are meant to be representing here.
Maybe Muir is using "Daddy Warbucks" simply as a stand-in for, basically, "sugar daddy". Which would be oafishly ignorant on his part. Shocker.

    1. Yeah, I'm wondering if Daddy Warbucks is meant here as a generic dig at the government. As in, we spend our bucks on war, because maybe someday we might support Ukraine again?

I'm also curious about this sudden turn Mia is taking. I smell a clunky plot device!

    2. Yeah, it's a pretty clunky strip, even by late Muir standards.
