It Only Gets Worse When You Think About It.

 It's the Day's Day of Days! Because mango flavored licorice.

The misogyny gets even more overbearing when you realize that the ideal wife is just the man's basic personality put into a hot woman.

    It's been a staple of the American far right for the past decade or so to speak of American women as fat, ugly, abrasive, spoiled, ungrateful, unlovable, unfeminine, and undesirable, to say nothing of incompetent and useless.
    Muir has been on this beat since at least 2015 --- I recall Sam grousing to Zed "Why would an American man WANT to marry an American woman?"

      Yep. And I've experienced the flip side of that ugliness--as an Eastern European immigrant, I've had some very unfortunate male types try to glom on to me because they assume I will be the "good" traditional kind of woman.

      Not realizing that there are plenty of women in those more traditional societies who have been rebelling and fighting for a long time to make them more feminist as well. Not that America is very feminist these days, either....
