    I will admit that the fact a whole bunch of vultures seem to have immediately swarmed into Maui trying to grab up the land that the residents were forced to flee is several orders of magnitude beyond disgusting. No argument there. But naturally these lunatics have to turn that into an insane conspiracy theory. You even have someone in the Peanut Gallery comparing the Maui fires to the Holocaust and other genocides. Because sure, why not.

      They're starting to turn these extreme weather events into some kind of "globalist" conspiracy theory...because otherwise they would have to admit climate change is real.

      Ayyup. And they likewise have to make real estate speculators being real estate speculators a sinister plot, because otherwise they'd have to admit that unregulated capitalism is bad and predatory, and that means letting go of their cargo cult understanding of the free market.
