    It makes me sick that I agree with any aspect of this, but I have felt immense anger, shame, and disgust at having "my people" invoked as a justification for fascist crackdowns on free speech and illegal arrests/deportation.

    (Columbia University has forever shamed itself by aggressively cracking down on those protests, and now caving to the Trump administration's demands.)

    Between the horrific brutality of the Netanyahu government and the IDF, and that "fighting anti-Semitism" is the official bullshit line being used by the thugs in the Trump administration, Congress, and parts of academia as their reason for advancing their authoritarian agenda, I cannot help feeling enormous shame and embarrassment.

    As if we don't ALREADY catch hell from all directions??

    I wish I could tell every one of these people "You want to force fascism on this country, do it on your own dime and keep US out of your fucking mouths."
