There's an impressive range of crazy here, all shoring up Muir's constant insistence that any loss has to be a conspiracy, and that the Redneck Elite shall soon show us all. He's strangely predictable about these things.
Haha...Sam mentions Greater Idaho, the phenomenon where some of the eastern and southern counties of my state of Oregon are trying to join the state of Idaho... What she doesn't mention is that one of the greatest roadblocks to this plan is...Idaho, where the legislature and the residents actually aren't that excited about having a chunk of Oregon added in. It would be an extremely messy process--a different minimum wage, different laws, those Oregon counties would suddenly have a sales tax etc etc.
ReplyDeleteThe point being, it sounds simple when you're spouting off about it in an online forum, but forming these secessionist regions would not be a simple process at all. Good luck with that.
