Muir imagines his opponents are a bunch of ignorant, arrogant assholes who are risking their health and causing disruption in society. Because he's that vested in his own unwarranted feelings of superiority. It's what fuels the projection.
And once again, what bizarre news sources is he getting his news from? Who's asking for a "pandemic amnesty?" I'm completely stumped here.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've been picking up in bits and pieces, current conventional wisdom in wingnut land is that there are many people who now realize they were "fooled" by the masking requirements and vaccines, who admit they were wrong and are apologizing to the enlightened magats, hoping for forgiveness for all the terrible wrongs they've done to them.
DeleteWhere any of this comes from, I don't know. But it's coming from somewhere. Someone on Twitter the other day said to me in passing "Now that you've all been proven wrong about masks and vaccines you're all desperate for forgiveness..."
With it being football season, I am reminded of how last year Joe Judge, as he lead the NY Giants onto one of the worst records in the NFL, insisted he was getting calls from players who'd worked with him in the past, who were telling him they wished they could play for him.

Wow, what? Yeah, I haven't talked to any people who regret masks/vaccines, or are apologizing to the MAGAs about COVID... Aaaaaand once again, we continue to exist in parallel universes!
