I think we're supposed to assume that obviously the cast would never sell the female characters into slavery, and so this is just their version of lighthearted banter.
The problem is I am no longer convinced of that first part.
Who the hell knows. When someone reaches the point where they're capable of drolling that D.C. runs on child and women sex slaves as casually as if they're talking about the weather, all bets are pretty much off.
ReplyDeleteI doubt Muir would ever have Zed seriously consider such a thing because he holds Zed up as the ideal of the manly head of the family, and you kinda need the family around for that. Selling one's daughters into slavery would dent that just a bit.
Also, I can confidently say that he WOULD actually lose the Peanut Gallery over such a twist. As blackhearted as the bunch of them are, they do all fancy themselves champions of the family. Zed selling off his own children to the "swamp" would lose them where even the open cheerleading of genocide didn't.
God. What a sentence.
