So many of Muir's issues with women on display here, from the entire handling of childbirth to Mari's talking like a kid character from a bad 1930s comic again. Just... so much ick.

Kiko and Mari have three modes of speech --- 1930s comic-strip kid; hackneyed redneck speak; and panel-one pronouncement pedantry.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, they share the latter two with their parents. But yes, and that first one has only gotten more and more unnerving as the years pass, and they got a soap opera age up.
